CT Introduction: Devra Hunt

Well, this has been a big secret to keep and I've been bursting with excitement for a while. I'm so happy to introduce myself today, as a new member of the Paper Issues creative team!

So, hello, I am Devra, and I have some serious paper issues. I am also known as my online alter ego, BeachGal.  I have been scrapbooking for about 15 years, after my Mother-in-Law showed me her Creative Memories album. Ooohh Stickers and paper? I'm in!  And yes, that may or may not mean that I have something in my stash that is also that old. But I've never looked back.

What do I scrapbook? Everything about my family. My husband of 18 years, our two boys ages 14 & 12, and our dog Snickers. I mean everything. The good, the bad and the ugly.

Here are a few things about me, and my scrapbooking, (you might say my Issues):

-Card stock colors have to the match the patterned paper..exactly
-There will always be something humorous on my pages. Always. Life is short. Make fun of it.
-I love to make a play on words, especially in titles
-You will rarely find a pastel layout from me. I much prefer bright colors.
-I'm not a huge storyteller with words. I let my photos tell the story and use product to enhance it.
-When I retire, I want to be Snow White in the Disneyland parade...*sigh*

Here is a page I created that I think represents just about everything I just said. The sketch from the current Sketch Party was incredibly perfect for this page.

I used the Hello Embroidery Stitch Kit by Amy Tangerine on the large circles to give them some texture and a bit more animation. I loved the Echo Park Dots Washi Tape for this project as well. It added just the right amount of pattern, without overwhelming the photo.
