Oh Thank You

It's the middle of the holiday rush and if there is one thing I try to keep a stash of, it's thank you cards.

Yes, my mother raised me most properly and always had me send thank you cards. Of course, now that I'm all grown up, I will admit that sending those notes tends to slip the mind but, I am bound and determined to begin sending them out again!

I recently acquired lots of the Sycamore Lane collection from Elle's Studio. LOVE the colors and patterns in this collection. Absolutely adorable. And I whipped up a few thank you cards to send out.

I love fussy cutting and using the diamond shapes from the pattern paper offered a perfect dimensional element on this card. I also love using the 3x4 journal cards for matting and layering.

I've also got a thing for doilies. They provide such a great texture to my paper projects and I love how the white looks against the gray paper. To add some splashes of color, I used Wood Sprinkles by Jillibean Soup.

This card came together really quickly. I based it off the Sketch from this month. Of course, there is a doily thrown in for good measure. :)

So have I inspired you or made you feel worse? Ha! Go grab yourself some Sycamore Lane and have a great time creating. Also, you can save 20% when using code melissa20. Enjoy!
