I have serious Project Life, Week in the Life and December Daily anxiety. Scrapbooking something weekly or daily (even monthly) makes me go into OCD overdrive and I start making extensive lists and plans and then I start sweating right before the pending scrapbook related meltdown. The next thing you know I'm sitting in a corner drinking Gin straight from the bottle and sticking enamel dots on the dog. Trust me, nobody wants to see that!
However, I always end up having at least 3 or 4 (if not more) holiday LOs that I end up adding to my to-do list so this year I decided to try a version of December Daily. I did not hold myself accountable for including something every day for 25 days, rather, I simply accumulated all of my family's December activities into a themed album for the month!
I wanted to make this as simple as possible so I bought Simple Stories Cozy Christmas SN@P cards, embellishments and papers from the Paper Issues Shop in the hopes of making my December memories come together quickly! I also used a collection of the Christmas wood veneer and acrylic pieces from Color Cast Designs (look forward to more collaboration between Paper Issues and Color Cast Designs coming in the next few months *wink, wink*)!

I did not decorate the front of my album, but I did include a cover page!
Of course I had to get our Christmas card in there some how!
I took about 453,954 photos of my tree this year -- it can't just be me?!?
I mean, the Raiders winning a football game HAS to be a Christmas Miracle, right...?
Even the pups had to get in on the action!
If you are still working on your December album, check out the awesome holiday lines still in the Paper Issues shop and take 20% off your order using the code, "Becky."

December Daily -1, Shannon - 24 ....so it went well. LOL! Yours is bee-you-tif-ul! <3
ReplyDeleteLoving your December Daily! How did I manage my DD? Well, it's actually not done yet but it's my goal to finish it before the new year. Oh, that's tomorrow, isn't it? Um ok. Well, yes, that is still my goal! I actually kept up on it fairly well each day but I just need to print out a few more photos, do a few writing prompts at the end and fill in some details. I did not keep it simple but next year I will prep all year long for Christmas so that I don't have this holiday stress again, it wasn't fun.
ReplyDeleteI fixed the page the night before
ReplyDeleteand added a photo the next day.

Awesome! Love, love the cover page.
ReplyDeleteSeriously gorgeous album!!!
ReplyDeleteThose photos of your doggie are priceless! And yes, hello 1 million photos of our Christmas tree! This year, I decided not to do a DD album, but incorporate it into my PL. I didn't start it yet, but I'm hoping too soon!
ReplyDeleteThis is so so good Becky!! I love how you stuck with one line...I should try that, maybe I would actually get done with my album that way. HaHa!!
ReplyDeleteI have failed at this project so many times in the past. This year my focus was on Buddy, our Elf on a Shelf. So far pictures are all taken. Now I just have to get them in an album. So I am batting 500!
ReplyDeleteI prepared by planning ahead. I ordered by paper in August & wrote on post it notes things I Absolutely wanted to include. I kept embellishments simple.
ReplyDeleteOh Becky, you rocked this. I love, how simply you made it with all the small touches of sweet details throughout. The pups totally steal the show though :)
ReplyDeleteI have not yet done any December Daily album but your album is inspiring me to make one. I am thinking to print Instagram size pictures since I have all December pictures on my phone & maybe make 6x6 or 8x8 album :)
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the inspiration!!!

DeleteI really wanted to make one this year, I started taking pictures but I forgot to make them around 15th Dec. :(
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, I always love these, but can never get to it.
ReplyDeleteYour album looks beautiful! Love the fun pics, and the ones with the dogs made me laugh! I didn't do a December daily, but maybe next year! I hope to be retired before then so may actually find some time!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a GREAT album! I have not done a project life album yet but is on my list for this year! One of my NY resolutions is to scrap a bit more instead of just 3d and cards..I miss doing layouts and now that I have a Granddaughter and 2 more Grandchildren on the way, this is perfect timing! So, I will be hitting it harder in 2015 to get these projects done! Thanks for the inspiration....your book is fabulous!
