Product Spotlight: Woodgrain Cardstock

I knew that cardstock came in every colour under the sun, but I had no idea that it came in woodgrain, so you can imagine my excitement when I discovered it in the Paper Issues store.
We carry 3 different shades of this fabulously textured heavy weight cardstock.
White
 Kraft
 Woodgrain

You can see in this photo that the dark is actually quite rich.
In order to bring out the depth and detail of the cardstock, I lightly rubbed some light pink Distress Ink overtop of my cut title.  I used my Silhouette on the following settings to get a good clean cut Speed:7, Thickness: 33, Blade depth: 7
The best thing about the Dark Woodgrain is that it has a touch of shimmer to it.  You can just barely make it out in this photo.  This sheet is suitably named 'Glowing Makassar'.  I think this great weight cardstock would make for a perfect mini book cover.

When you start with a great base, the rest of the layout tends to come together quickly.  Just about everything I've used on this layout of my soon to be 12 year old girl, can be found in the Paper Issues store, along with the Woodgrain cardstock which you can find right here.
