Product Spotlight > Alison Kreft (Webster's)

Sara here to start you thinking about decorations for the Holiday Season with my newest Product Spotlight featuring the line from Webster's, Alison Kreft's It's Christmas Collection!

We have a verity of Christmas Collections in the Shop currently but this one jumped out at me!  I love that it mixes pink and red as well as a few transparencies!  I knew immediately I wanted to build a banner with this collection!

I love to make banners and I wanted to share a few tips through out this post to consider when making a banner.  The first think to do when creating a banner is to thinking of creating layers!  I choose a double pennant for the base of my banner, knowing I would want to layer letters/words and embellishments on top of them.

I choose the Twinkle Twinkle and Greetings papers for my top layer of the pennant (they are my favorite papers in the collection and I wanted to show it off) and then alternated cardstock for the bottom pennant.  I put my layers together with some foam tape.

Next I cut out my sentiment "Merry and Bright" using my Silhouette with the red side of the Christmas Spirit paper.  I wanted my words to be big and stand out so I spread Merry and Bright across two pennants using foam tape for dimension.

Now for the fun, embellishing our banner!  I cut several size stars from the Silver Stars transparency in this collection and randomly put them behind my words.  Then using pop dots added several stickers from the element sticker sheet in this collection.

I also used  bits of the mini trims from this collection and wooden stars from Studio Calico and then topped it all off some random sprinkles of sequins!

After the banner was complete I had a few scraps just staring me in the face screaming to be turned into a card!

I used scraps and odd bits left over from the banner for this quick cute card!  However, I did use this beautiful Christmas Love Stamp Set from Alison Kreft for the sentiment - this is my favorite Holiday Stamp Set!
