Mom Wow

Hello lovely friends!

It's Olivia. I love celebrating mothers, and even though it can be difficult for many reasons, I truly believe whether you've been pregnant, given birth, adopted, fostered, worked with, or given any other kind of support to others you are a mother. Women are incredible beings!

Last summer I became a mother for the fourth time. I've hardly scrapped his first year so this was a great way to start.

I fussy cut florals from a Maggie Holmes paper, and bent or popped them up to give a little dimension & movement. There's a little bit of grey ink on the edges to keep them from blending into each other. Next, I layered my photo with blue and pink layers, a die cut floral wreath, and gold foil polka dot tissue paper. I used cardboard to elevate my photo. A few smaller embellies surrounding my photo and title, journaling on the LH side of the paper, and ink splatters were the finishing touches.

As I was photographing this I decided it looked a little empty, so I scattered some enamel dots around and tucked some thread under the birdie.

I hope you take some time to record your thoughts and feelings about mothers and motherhood. And if you're comfortable, please share with us in the Paper Issues Friends and Fans FB Group. We'd love to support and cheer you on through this journey.

There's also a code if you need a little retail therapy 😉
