I'm very excited to be on the blog today! My challenge was to create a layout inspired by the beautiful Mood Board for this month. This colours on this mood board scream summer, new beginnings, youth, growth and beauty. So what better photo to scrap than that of my beautiful daughter! I thought that the colours on this photo was perfect fr this challenge, and I have been wanting to scrap this pic for a while now, but didn't have the right challenge to scrap it under.

I used the Flourish collection from Crate Paper, the yellows, blues and greens in the collection are just striking. I fussy cut the flowers from the Grandiflora Magnolia sheet, and placed them all around my photo cluster. The photo is matted on a tag and a frame. I also experimented with some mixed media, I wanted a very subtle texture in the background, so I took a Kaisercraft stencil and applied some texture paste to the page through the stencil. I used some of the chipboard as subtle colour accents, the butterfly to balance the other larger emphemera butterfly and then the small blue heart and small blue word accent so bring in some more of the blue I had going in the photo cluster.
Lastly I added some Heidi Swapp black and gold color shine.

I hope that you give this challenge a go, the colours in the mood board are so very inspiring and uplifting!
Have a great Day!  Leslie.
