A Challenging Ad-Spiration

Its the end of the month! Where is 2018 going? Well a little bit of it was spent on a layout for the Ad-spiration challenge. And don't you just love these new challenges? So much fun! Some of them are a real challenge we have to put on our thinking caps and I certainly did. But the key is to stick with it and don't be afraid to walk away for a minute and come back to it. That is exactly what I had to do with this challenge.

The ad is so inspiring on its own. So much color so much movement and a center focus. So I decided to go with the cut file that was made specifically for this challenge. And I had many ideas in my head none of which really came to the paper as I intended.  I tried water color pencils, markers and paints and none of which was looking good. At some point I thought let me use my endless supply of thickers and the asterisks which I never end up using for anything. And it was a good start but I was just feeling blah about the direction.

But I didn't give up because I was going to make it work I came back a day latter, yes I had to walk away and be the mother I am. And that is what it is needed at times. Just to walk away and come back to your project with fresh eyes, better focus and a better attitude. And I believe I made it work.

I won't tell you how many times I rearranged these things on the page. But I love how it turned out in the end. Its bright its fun and it really shows the attitude of my youngest two. The Emoji Love by Simple Stories was a perfect line for this photo and the added asterisks. So when you are feeling a bit blah the way your idea is translating to paper. Remember don't always give up rather give it some time and eventually it will come together for a great page.

If you like this idea and maybe need some more astericks in your stash get to shopping. Don't forget to use my code for 20% off your total order.
