Cut It Up Saturday

Hello, PI friends!  We are throwing snowballs at you with this fun, versatile cut file this month!  Check out the awesome inspiration from the design team in using the Cut It Up free cut file for December.

I love how you can use the cut file to layer embellishments on top of the circles or back the openings with papers or photos.  Keep on scrolling down for lots of creative ideas for this cut file!

I used Simple Stories #Whatever mini collection for my take on the December challenge.  I cut out the cut file in black cardstock and added gesso, watercolors, and black India ink to the openings.

Here's one more peek at a close up of the layers.  I shared more of the process today on my blog.

Now, onto the design team projects and they are so incredibly talented!  They rocked this cut file with so many paper collections!

Cassie wows us each time she glues and this is another ahhhhmazing one with her beautiful project using Crate Paper Heart Day!  Believe me you need all the things to this lovely collection as you can see below!  The Heart Day patterned papers are so much fun and that background grid paper is all the heart eyes!

Rachel and her adorable sons stole my heart with this cutest take with layered hearts full of Bella Blvd's Holly Jolly Christmas papers!  I love that she used the Illustrated Faith stamps for her title and the You are Loved stamps on some of the hearts!

Melanie captured this gorgeous snowy tree scene with her camera and partnered it perfectly with Crate Paper's Snow and Cocoa for this stunning white on white use of the cut file!  I love the pops of gold she sprinkled throughout!  Those snow-covered trees have me dreaming of snow!

Michelle brings back the fall season beauty with her use of Fancy Pants Designs Golden Days.  I adore all of the bits of ephemera, feathers, and puffy stickers she was able to add to her circle grid!
Her photos of her daughter are always stunning and these papers just work perfectly with it!

Heather used Merry & Bright by Fancy Pants Designs and I am so loving those circle tags she used to layer!  Wow to all of the ephemera she was able to use along with her two snowy pictures!  It looks so pretty against the patterned paper!

Amanda joined us for her first Cut It Up challenge and we can't wait to see more!  Isn't it fantastic cut out of patterned paper?!  The circle paper number 3 from Pink Paislee Fancy Free works so perfectly in the circle grid! The paint splatters and machine stitching are fab additions to her design!

Carolyn rounds out the team designs with this lovely Crate Paper Snow and Cocoa layout with use of the cut file in bold black cardstock. She snuck in two circle photos behind the cut file to create a diagonal line of photos to doument her cutie's outside snow play! The CP Snow and Cocoa winter critters are so sweet with her pictures---winter beanies for all!

We hope you are inspired and take the time to stop in at the Paper Issues shop to download the free Cut It Up cut file for December and then shop for the best paper collections!

  1. I arrived here through Pinterest. I love the layout I saw there but on this blogpost I can only see 1 layout, the rest of the pictures only give question marks.
But I love it and followed the link to the store. I "bought" quite a few free designs. Now to do something with it!

Thank you for leaving a comment. We love hearing from you!
