Mixed Media Tutorial

Hello there!  Enza here with you today with a mixed media mini tutorial on how to make your own embellishments.  Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you have beautiful papers to use and no ephemera to go with them or finish your project?  Well, it has happened to me multiple times!  Here is a simple way to make some!

First, I choose the papers I want to use and pick a few colors to match them.  For my layout today, I'm using the Crate Paper Hello Love collection.

Teal and hot pink are the two colors I'm going for:

The stencil here is from the Dear Lizzy Serendipity collection.  I just love the flowers on it!  To obtain a fairly thick paste to spread on the stencil, the best way is to mix acrylic paint with some modeling paste.

Once the paint is dry, cut out your shapes and use them on your projects. Here is my finished layout:

Not too bad, right?  Go ahead and try this technique.  You can find all the supplies I used and more in the Paper Issues store.  Use the code ENZA20 to get 20% off your total purchase.
Until next time..
