Sherri here, and I am loving the new Wonderful Collection by Teresa Collins. I think it's the colour combination that I like best. If you were to look through my most recent layouts you would discover that I scrap a lot of pink, aqua, white, cream, and yellow. This collection has all of those colours, but also has bold reds, and blacks.
I think my eyes were just ready for a slight change in colour scheme.
I created this Clean & Simple layout the day the collection arrived on my doorstep. The girls had a costume from their recent Dance Competition that matched the collection perfectly.
Because there is so much red and white in the costumes, set right next to that giant ampersand I created with my Silhouette, I decided to print one of the photos in black and white, I think it helped balance out all red on red.
Still loving the look of pinwheels to help fill out a cluster.
I thought the ampersand still needed a little extra something to help keep it the anchoring element on the layout, so I grabbed my sewing machine and added just an outline to it with white thread. I also used some 3D adhesive squares to pop several elements off the page. They are a great way to add fullness to a layout without having to add a lot of layers. You can grab the entire Something Wonderful collection in the Paper Issues shop here.
