Christmas in July with McJen

Hello Paper Issues friends!!

This month the design team is creating projects for PI's Scrappy Christmas in July. If you haven't checked it out yet, please be sure to do so. We are partnering with Tracey Fox (follow her on Instagram) to create festive projects that even includes a weekly YouTube video hop.

This week I chose  to create a 12x12 layout using a black and white photo with Crate Paper's Fa La La collection.

I love the FREE cut files in the PI shop and used the Pines and Needles file, which I foiled using my Minc.

For the embellishments, I chose to stick with gold, white, and black throughout the layout.

I added a bit of journaling in the bottom corner and called it good.

The finished layout has so many layers and tons of texture!

The combination of colors with the black and photo create and elegant feel.
