Take 5 (or More!)

Hi, Paper Issues fans! Debbi here, and today I'm sharing a layout I created for the Take 5 challenge.

To play, choose at least 5 of the items from the list below. You can add anything else that you want, but you must have at least 5 from the list.

I created this page for one of my students, using 12 items from the list: orange, pink, blue, flowers, patterned paper, stripes, cardstock, a bow, die cuts, layers, stickers, and alpha letters as part of my design.

I scrap 8 x 8, and so I have a bunch of alphas in m stash that are generally too big for titles, but using the alpha as a design element was a great way to use the large chipboard letters on my page.  Those orange puffy stickers are by Pinkfresh Studio. I dug into my stash and mixed a bunch of papers from various Maggie Holmes collections to find the pinks and oranges for my page. Don't you love how her collections all seem to coordinate with each other?

I have so many flowers in my stash, so this was a great challenge for using some of those. I wanted to dress them up with some foliage, and I found the perfect free cut file in the Paper Issues Store: Rhapsody Florals. I used the crop and eraser tools on the Silhouette program to select the parts of that file I wanted to use.

Take 5 is such a fun challenge for digging into your stash. And once you use up some of your stash, you have the perfect excuse for a splurge at the Paper Issues store to replenish your stash!
