You + Me

Hi, crafty friends!! Wendy here today to share with you a layout featuring just one of the hundreds of free cut files Paper Issues has to offer. Have you spotted it on my layout yet? I actually used the Xs and Os grid file. One of the reasons I love cut files is because they are so versatile and you don't actually have to use them on your page. You can use them as templates like what I have done here. I traced the cut file onto my cardstock then stitched it. For a slightly different and dramatic look, I stitched colors in an ombre style going from deep red to white.

This photo was taken last December, but who says you can't use Valentine's paper for pictures year round? I used the Pebbles Forever My Always collection. After I started piling on the ephemera I realized that this was looking awfully familiar... That's because it reminded me of my favorite January Swag Bag!! I pulled some bits and pieces out of the bag and took a good look at the cute bag in black and white houndstooth that Paper Issues is known for. I decided to incorporate the bag into my layout also.

Most of these cute embellishments are from the Swag Bag, including that fun straw and heart on a stick.

The "you + me" strip is actually the barcode strip. You can definitely use those little strips of papers on your layout. I also paired the ephemera with some alpha Thickers from my stash.

I hope you are feeling inspired to play along and create something new. Try to use one of our cut files in your project, too! There are so many designs for all occasions. Upload your creations in the April Challenge album in our Paper Issues Friends and Fan Facebook group. For each new project you enter, you will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a Paper Issues gift card! That's exciting! You can even share your projects on Instagram. Tag @paperissues and use #paperissues so we can see your projects and maybe share them, too!
