Spring Has Sprung

Hello Paper Issues Friends and Fans! Olivia here and it’s so good to be back!

April is one of my favorite months, not just because of my birthday, but because of all the beauty coming back to life. Anyone else get giddy and check the flower beds everyday until they arrive?

I grabbed the latest Maggie Holmes collection called Flourish and began fussy cutting the lemon branch florals. I layered them around photos of my son matted on coordinating papers. I felt like the right corner was a bit empty so I added a few layers from the ephemera pack & the title with hearts scattered about. Until then, die & fussy cut flowers can fill the gap.

Fussy cutting doesn’t have to be tedious and can add a big impact. I love how the leaves pop against the different background textures. It would be so fun to gather a bunch of fussy cut lemon branches for a bouquet, or create depth & dynamic with pop dots. I think I’m going to need more of that paper!
Grab some in the Paper Issues Store before I buy it all 😉

I can wait to see what you create with this challenge! Share it in the PIFF FB Group under the Spring Has Sprung photo for a chance to win a gift certificate to the store!
