Keepin' It Sketchy!

Happy Wednesday friends! Rachel here and I'm in LOVE with this month's Paper Issues sketch! Sketch challenges are perfect for getting your scrappy mojo going! If you're in a scrappy slump take heart and take a look:

When I saw the strips of paper behind the photo I knew I wanted to use Maggie Holme's newest collection - Flourish! It's over-the-top gorgeous and everything you would expect from her collection. I started with the Goldenrod patterned paper. The black and white floral background was a perfect contrast to the beautiful, bright colors in the Anne patterned paper. I cut strips from the paint stroked paper and layered them together.

I  added chipboard and ephemera around my photo. I also love the town houses that are in so many of the embellishments. I fussy cut these from the Home Sweet Home paper. I finished the layout with a few words that I typed up on my We R Memory Keepers typewriter.

If you haven't played along yet, now's the time! See more ideas in our challenge album here! Love some Maggie Holmes?! You can get this collection in the Paper Issues shop and save 20% with the code RACHEL. Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day! XOXO
