Personal Space

Hey Paper Issues friends!

This month the PI gals are partnering up with Stuck Sketches and creating some fabulous projects using the following for inspiration.

For this project I used the new Pinkfresh Studio Case of the Blahs collection (available here) with these photos of my best friend and my dog. Sadly, Mabel (my dog) has no concept of personal space and when Andrea comes to visit she is stuck to her like glue. The collection and the pictures go together perfectly!

When I saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to create the circles using machine stitching, so I used my Silhouette and sketch pens to draw the circles on the back side of the white card stock. This allowed me to sew the circles and have them actually look like circles when I was done. :)

Next, I used watercolors and filled in the circles with grey, orange, and blue hues to match the embellishments. When the paints were dried, I stamped the fun sentiments using the exclusive PI Snarky Stamps.

The photos were matted on blue patterned paper and attached to the card stock. With those in place, I began embellishing.

I finished the project with the title and enamel dots within the circles to add dimension.

This one of my favorite layouts in a while because it totally matches my personality and captures our crazy life perfectly.

Remember to play along with any of the PI challenges for your chance to win a gift card to the shop.Everything used on the project is available in the Paper Issues Store - use code McJen at checkout to received a 20% percent discount off of your entire order.
