Free File Friday: Winter Wonderland or Winter Woes

So we want to know--is it winter wonderland where you are at?? Or would you consider it winter woes?  Maybe you are somewhere warm and instead you get to scroll through our cold weather photos and laugh!  Get over to Paper Issues Free Files and download a cut file or two or a hundred and share your design that includes a free file in our Paper Issues Friends and Fans group on Facebook!

Winter wonderland comes to mind for me when I am out skiing the slopes and capturing the views from the chairlift. American Crafts Sweater Weather text background was in need of some white mixed media to bring some snowy vibes to document this ski trip from last winter.  I added the title from the PI cut file Very Merry Holiday and the snowflakes are from Circles and Snowflakes. See more details on my blog.

Lisa brings us "Snow Loved" and that it is!  She used the Wrapped Up Scarf cut file and she made it a total wow-factor!  American Crafts Sweater Weather is such a fun collection and all of the papers with embellishments look fantastic in the scarf sections! I need to try out this cut file soon!

Damaris rocked the butterfly cut file and altered the background to work in two groupings which is so eye-catching! The mixed media hexagons adds such a great texture and layer to build off of!  The Nuvo dots on the butterflies are the cutest little detail! She used Maggie Holmes and Echo Park for this gorgeous design.

Rachel has had quite the winter playing endless games of Monopoly!  I am so glad she took time to document these fun stories of playing board games with her family during the winter! The Paint Outline Alpha cut file makes the perfect bold title.  The Amy Tangerine word Thickers around the photo add to the game vibes! The AT papers inside all of the title letters add to the playfulness of this design and sweet memory!

Kelly is documenting her sweet mom and her special time warming up in Florida each winter! Check out the gorgeous white-on-white geo tropical palms cut file with the perfect tropical collection from My Mind's Eye Palm Beach.  I absolutely love the added white Nuvo (or enamel dots) around the palm trees. Her photo just pops with the bright colored layers!

Wendy joins us with Crate's Snow and Cocoa for her sweet design! The mixed media background and her stitching around the cut file make this design pop! The circles and snowflakes cut file is the perfect match for Snow and Cocoa papers and ephemera. Yes, staying indoors with the ones you love sounds like a great winter plan!

Devra is all set for winter and her dog Snickers enjoying the fresh snow makes it look like it's winter wonderland outside! The scribbles background cut file looks like snowballs are ready for attack! I love that Devra layered her background and three groupings with photos. Her title Snow Bound, was made with three cut files. Snow Much Frosty Fun and the new dog cut files: Pawprints on my Heart and Dog Gone.  I love how she created "Bound" by mixing the letters from both cut files to make the word she needed! American Crafts Sweater Weather is another go-to choice for documenting winter fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today to check out the inspiration from the team. So.many.ways. to use cut files!  I hope you're inspired to play along!
