Use Your Stash

Merry Christmas friends! Only two more days to get all your gifts wrapped and goodies baked! Are you ready?! If you're like me then you'll be working up til the last possible moment! Now let's talk scrapping! Because my date fell at the end of the month, I knew exactly what I wanted to share with you guys. Around this time of year we get to start seeing glimpses of new collections being release in 2018! With the thought of new collections coming out, I needed to dig deep and start using up some of my older collections.

So I dug through my drawers and pulled out Crate Paper Cool Kid. I have hoarded this one for so long and have just a few bits left, but I'm determined to use it up. I started with one of the patterned papers and sprinkled it with black mist. Then I used black cardstock to cut out the Greatest Adventure cut file. I love the whimsical hand drawn look of the stars. Check out the awesome collection of free cut files here!

Next, I added my photo and several embellishments around the edge of the page. In the middle I added some journaling strips I typed up with my We R Memory Keepers typewriter. A couple times a year I like to make a page about each of my boys - documenting their favorite foods, hobbies, friends etc. I love how this one turned out.

Next week, I'll be back with another Cool Kid layout in my attempts to use my stash! I challenge you to do the same. Dig deep in your crafty drawers and closets and use what you have because new collections are coming!

But just in case your stash is low and you need more paper - don't miss this awesome sale going on in the Paper Issues store! Save 50% with the code iLOVE50 Thanks for stopping by today! XOXO Rachel
