When "December Daily" starting to become a "thing" in the scrapbook world I wasn't instantly sold because I was very much a traditional 2-page scrapbooker and the pocket page style of scrapbooking really just didn't appeal to me. So, my photos sat in folders on my laptop - year after year - undocumented. I know this is a familiar story to others...
So...two years ago Simple Stories released a great holiday line perfect for pocket style scrapbooking and I figured - why not? I'll give the December mini album a try! I didn't do daily photos, but I did scrapbook our entire December in one album and I actually finished it! I love how it turned out and I enjoyed putting it together.
So, I went for year two in 2015 and I successfully completed my second December mini album, which are the pages that I am sharing with you here. That's right, I used Simple Stories two years in a row. They just make it so ding dang easy!
This year I will be using the Carta Bella Christmas Delivery line for my December mini! This plaid washi is what sealed the deal for me!
I am definitely ready to get started on my 2016 album - bring on the Holiday Spirit and the cookies. And the mistletoe. And the cookies. And the decorating. Did I mention the cookies...?
As you can see, I love to add a lot of little details to my December album - enamel dots, bows, tabs & labels, brads, and sequins! I love pulling out my We R Memory Keepers Fuse tool and creating shaker pockets throughout my album!
Being able to look back on my holiday albums, being able to actually look at my photos in an album, rather than my photos being stuck on my computer is such a BIG DEAL to me.
I hope that this post is getting you into the December mini album mood! I cannot wait to see what great ideas everybody comes up with this year to document their holiday season! If you want to see the rest of my 2015 December album I have put together a flipgram below!
