San Diego County Fair

Hi there & welcome back...Dani here today!  I thought I would share a layout I made of a recent trip to the San Diego County Fair, with my brother & his family.  It's something I look forward to every year.  I knew I wanted this page to invoke feelings of Summer..whether it be the hot sun, the fresh air, a glass of lemonade, or the beach.  I think I just may have succeeded!  :)



I used a variety of products & lines on this page.  Here are some of the lines I used: Simple Stories, Sunshine & Happiness; Pink Paislee, Fancy Free; Amy Tangerine, Better Together & Elle's Studio, Sunny Days.  I simply love mixing several lines together when creating a layout.  Its always such a nice surprise what I end up with at the end!  Here's a few more close-ups of my layout:



I used one of the chipboard frames from Carpe Diem, to create a few embellishment clusters around my photos.  This helps draw your eyes to the pictures & the journaling strips.



When adding a sub-title or place where the event took place, I like to mix & match colors from my layout to give it added interest.  I usually mix several types of fonts...letter/tile stickers, hand-written, and/or Thickers.




My nephew was so brave on all the rides..just love how he puts his arms in the air.  I had such a blast creating this fun, summery layout..it truly captured my feelings of the day! :)
